Thanks to a successful bid to the Netherby Trust, MCFT are pleased to announce that we are seeking to fill the following vacancies:

COMMUNITY HUB PROMOTER

 Part-time, time-limited appointment for up to 12 months

(25 hours/week – flexible working)

We are seeking someone with the skills and abilities to ensure that Merstham Community Facility Trust (MCFT) is able to maximise the hiring of our rooms to local people, groups, providers and businesses such that the income generated enables the charity to meet its core costs.

We are a small charity offering a range of services and activities at a vibrant, busy community hub in Merstham, Surrey. We have a number of rooms/spaces that we rent out to local people and groups for a variety of activities – dance and exercise classes, meetings, training events, parties, etc. We are looking for a talented individual to help build our brand and to promote our facilities to a range of established and new customers.

The post holder will also participate in the activities of MCFT so as to support the success of the activity for the participants. For example – to contribute to special events and Open Days; to prepare and deliver training for volunteers.

Salary – £13,975 per annum for 25 hours per week

Caretaker/Handyperson

 15 or 16 hours per week, by agreement – Flexible working will be required

We are a small charity offering a range of services and activities at a vibrant, busy community hub in Merstham, Surrey. We have a number of rooms/spaces that we rent out to local people and groups for a variety of activities – dance and exercise classes, meetings, training events, parties, etc. We are looking for a ‘Jack or Jill’ of all trades to support us in preparing and clearing the rooms, supporting the hirers in setting up, preparing refreshments, fixing problems and generally being helpful and friendly.

The post holder will also support and participate in some of our directly run activities, such as helping the volunteers with our allotment, accompanying the fishing group and participating in the Repair Café.

There will be a range of practical tasks as well, generally caring for our physical environment. You will also need to be available and willing to work flexibly in respect of times of day and weekdays/weekends.

Our Supporters

Merstham Community Facility Trust is a Charity (No. 1121420) set up to provide a venue in the heart of Merstham for the benefit of our community.

The majority of our income is generated through hire fees, with the remainder coming from grants. The Trust only exists because of the generousity of our supporters including:
