Thanks to a successful bid to the Netherby Trust, we are currently seeking a part-time caretaker (this is a re-advertisement)
15 or 16 hours per week, by agreement – Flexibile working will be required
We are a small charity offering a range of services and activities at a vibrant, busy community hub in Merstham, Surrey. We have a number of rooms/spaces that we rent out to local people and groups for a variety of activities – dance and exercise classes, meetings, training events, parties, etc. We are looking for a ‘Jack or Jill’ of all trades to support us in preparing and clearing the rooms, supporting the hirers in setting up, preparing refreshments, fixing problems and generally being helpful and friendly.
The post holder will also support and participate in some of our directly run activities, such as helping the volunteers with our allotment, accompanying the fishing group and participating in the Repair Café.
There will be a range of practical tasks as well, generally caring for our physical environment. You will also need to be available and willing to work flexibly in respect of times of day and weekdays/weekends.
If you like working with people and are interested in supporting the local community to develop then this could be the ideal opportunity for you.
